The Powerworks Zetec Blacktop Supercharger kit from Performance 3000 - The only official UK dealers for Powerworks!
A Powerworks Supercharger kit will give exciting power gains even on a stock engine with no other major modifications. You get the entire kit, including a Dreamscience DSF2000 (upgradeable to the Dreamscience DSF3000 for an additional £100) so you don't have to worry about expensive ECU upgrades and new wiring looms, nor do you have to worry about losing standard vehicle features, such as traction control.
Don't be fooled by unofficial sellers of Powerworks kits to the UK, you will quite likely end up with an American SCT XCAL2 unit which is useless in the UK on European vehicles and can potentially wreck your car, it most certainly will not give you the program you will require as the difference in the Firmware makes this impossible! We know of one person who found this out the hard way, don't let this be you. The Dreamscience DSF3000 is in fact an SCT XCAL2 unit designed specifically for the UK market and will not destroy your cars ECU, so you will not be losing out in any way if you choose this option as some might fear. Even the DSF2000 that you will receive as standard provides the same ability to modify the ECU map in the same way - but with less additional features such as data logging abilities.
For quality, performance and no risk of losing vehicle features, the Dreamscience option has to be the ultimate route without the unnecessary and expensive costs of installing a stand alone management system as some suppliers may well try to sell you. Just search the Internet to see what people both here in the UK and across the water in the USA say about Powerworks complete with a Dreamscience unit/SCT XCAL2 to see that it really is a popular and reliable option, expecially at the price!
But enough of the Dreamscience, you're here to hear about Powerworks Superchargers, so here's some info from the website to give you an idea of what to expect! Bringing you direct from the states the awesome power of an Eaton M62 Roots Supercharger, also featuring
* 11 lb Boost * An Air-to-water Intercooler * A Larger Throttle Body * A New Air induction system * A New Engine Map - Dreamscience DSF2000 upgradeable to DSF3000
This is a complete bolt on kit that can be fitted by a capable mechanic in as little as 16 hours with no additional modifications or parts required! You also get a Dreamscience DSF2000 Unit with a new map so you can run the vehicle on it's original ECU!
On a standard 130bhp Zetec engine you'll be looking at gains giving you a total of up to 220bhp and 190+ ft/lb of torque! Unlike most Turbochargers you'll be enjoying these awesome power gains from the moment you press the throttle!
Performance 3000 Fitting charge - £700 inc VAT

It’s finally here! Powerworks’ first major powertrain performance upgrade – the “Focus Force” 2.0L, Zetec supercharger kit – has just been released and is now available for order from your local distributor.
The kit adds a huge boost in performance and works with all body styles (hatchback, sedan or wagon) of 2000-2004 Focus 2.0L Zetec vehicles with manual transmissions. PowerWorks provides a complete, turn-key upgrade by adding an Eaton/Magna Charger M62, positive displacement, roots-type supercharger, air-to-water intercooler, complete CARB-legal calibration, larger throttle body, new air induction and ALL accessories required for installation.
No cutting, welding, or fabrication is required and the car can be returned to stock at any time with no undue effects. Even the smallest details have been addressed by Cosworth Technology’s engineering team so that items usually ignored in aftermarket kits – like the vacuum lines and wiring harnesses – are “plug and play”, requiring no modifications to the factory components.
Testing of the Focus Force Kit began in June and development has been non-stop since then. “The output is exactly what we have been advertising and it’s real - verified by SAE engine dyno testing,” said Mark Blaha, Chief Project Engineer. “We are seeing 220 bhp at 6800 RPM, and 200 pound per feet of torque, which is what we predicted early on,” Blaha added.
The key to the successful power upgrade is the calibration. Based on Cosworth Technology’s vast experience in providing calibration directly to several major auto manufacturers, the PowerWorks kit includes a comprehensively remapped engine control module that changes timing and air-fuel ratios throughout the entire rev range to provide much higher performance levels while still maintaining long-term durability. Further, idle quality, low-speed driveability, cold- and hot-weather capability, and complete on-board diagnostics are maintained in the PowerWorks calibration. Each kit includes a postage-paid package to return the customer’s powertrain control module to PowerWorks for reflashing and shipping back to the customer within 24 hours.
PowerWorks will be expanding “Focus Force” to include a wide variety of powertrain performance products for the entire range of Focus models in the very near future, including some unique products, as well a supercharger kit for the largely-ignored automatic models. Look for additional PowerWorks powertrain upgrade components including supercharger kits for other makes and models in 2005.
